OUR STORY
After 24 years in education, I came to a quiet but powerful realization: true learning, the kind that sparks curiosity and sticks for life, rarely takes more than a few focused hours a day. Yet in traditional schools, those hours are often lost in transitions, distractions, and managing everything but learning. As my own child was transitioning to middle school, I'm reminded on a daily basis of how the world is changing and not always in ways that felt safe, supportive, or enriching. I knew he needed something better.
So I chose to homeschool—not out of fear, but out of vision. A vision for a learning environment that’s calm, purposeful, and deeply connected to real life. One where part of the day is spent in meaningful academic work, and the rest of the day is free to pursue passions, build character, move with purpose, and explore the world in ways schools just don’t have time for.
Homeschooling, for us, isn’t about doing school at home. It’s about rethinking what education can be and giving our children the space and support to become who they’re meant to be.
